Private label for Canna

CANNA è l'azienda olandese pioniera e leader a livello globale di nutrienti, additivi e substrati nel settore della coltivazione (indoor) di piante a crescita rapida. Attraverso il supporto ai coltivatori di tutto il mondo, da tre decadi porta avanti la sua filosofia basata sulla convinzione nel potere della natura e sul diritto di ognuno al vivere la propria vita come meglio crede.
Dall'unione dei valori CANNA e della creatività di BATNA STUDIO nasce una Capsule Private Label, attraverso la quale il brand olandese affida il proprio messaggio, sotto forma di un kit di abbigliamento, a dieci fra i più autorevoli esponenti del mondo della musica rap italiana, in quanto vede in questo un sinonimo di libertà. Libertà intesa come riscatto sociale, come possibilità di diventare ciò che si vuole, libertà di esprimersi e di comunicare ciò che siamo, quello che pensiamo e ciò in cui crediamo.
I capi sono disegnati e progettati da Batna e la loro realizzazione è avvenuta interamente all'interno della sezione femminile del Carcere Lorusso Cutugno di Torino.

Through support for farmers all around the world, for three decades CANNA has been pursuing his philosophy based on the belief in the power of nature and the right of everyone living their lives according to their choices.
From the union of the CANNA values and the creativity of BATNA STUDIO a Private Label Capsule is born, through which the Dutch brand entrusts its message, in the form of a clothing kit, to ten of the most authoritative exponents of the world of Italian rap music, as it sees in this a synonym of freedom. Freedom as a social redemption, as a chance to become what we want, freedom to express ourselves and communicate what we are, what we think and what we believe in.
The garments are designed by Batna and their realization takes place entirely within the women's section of the Lorusso Cutugno prison in Turin.

Capsule collection 2014
La Collezione BatnAK nasce dalla collaborazione del collettivo di fashion designer Batna con lo street artist AK, realtà attive sulla scena torinese e non solo. Il dialogo, il confronto e la condivisione di idee tra i componenti del gruppo danno vita ad un progetto collettivo: una capsule di capi unici ed inediti che rappresenti la fusione tra due linguaggi espressivi e la migrazione di concetti, limiti, regole e ricerca artistica dalla strada al corpo.
Non una collezione "ispirata" ma un'opera condivisa in cui linea estetica, studio della modellistica, scelta dei colori e dei tessuti, sono manifestazione dello scambio reciproco di opinioni, conoscenze, tecniche ed idee.
The BatnAK collection originates from the collaboration between the fashion designers BATNA and the street artist AK, both active figures in the Turin scene and beyond. The dialogue, comparison, and sharing of ideas amongst the groups' components bring a collective project to life: a capsule collection of unique and original clothes that represent the fusion of two diverse forms of expression and the migration from streets to the body of concepts, limits, rules and artistic research.
This is not an "inspired" collection but a shared result in which aesthetic, pattern study, and the selection of colours and fabrics are the manifestation of mutual exchange of opinions, knowledge, techniques and ideas
